Lucknow – Gomti Basin: JNV – Man-Nature PM LiFE Regional Training HQ & Twin Township
A culture-water-people-centric headquarters anchored by India’s richest river-based legacies.
The Vision
"Eastern Uttar Pradesh carries one of India’s richest civilisational, cultural, and river-based legacies, anchored by the Gomti and Ganga river systems. Lucknow, along with the extended corridor of Gorakhpur and adjoining districts, offers a powerful setting for a culture-water-people-centric LiFE Training Headquarters."
Key Training Focus Areas:
Water conservation and river rejuvenation practices
Heritage-sensitive wellness and hospitality development
Community-oriented livelihoods rooted in tradition and sustainability
Reforestation Goal
40k+
Indigenous tree species planned for local ecosystem restoration.
Project Footprint
350 Acres
Total area dedicated to high-impact sustainability training.
Strategic Implementation
This HQ will act as a bridge between India’s ancient cultural wisdom and future-ready employment systems, translating movements such as Save Soil and Rally for Rivers into practical, local action. The Eastern UP centre also holds the potential to serve as a large-scale human capital preparation zone, addressing regional employment challenges while nurturing skills relevant to wellness townships, rural tourism, and environmental regeneration. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas provide the educational continuity and discipline needed for such transformation, while Man-Nature LiFE enables experiential training aligned with PM LiFE principles and national development priorities.
Strategic Alignment
Reference Model
Acting as a national demonstration of how heritage ecology, governance, and employment can coexist harmoniously in arid landscapes.
